Indian SpiceJet Eyed the Opportunity in Macau02 Dec 2011

SpiceJet Vice President of Commercial, Mr. V. Raja and General Manager of Business Development Mr. Vipul Seth visited Macau International Airport on 23rd November 2011 to further explore the air service opportunity in 2012.  Welcomed by the Marketing Director of Macau International Airport Company, Mr. Eric Fong, the representatives were presented the potential market and local tourism development and taking the opportunity to also see the airport.  Both representatives were impressed to see the world class hotel facilities offered here in Macau while combining with the world heritage sites.  They were convinced that Macau would be a popular destination among the Indian nationals and that their plan for international expansion in coming year will definitely benefit both Macau and India travel. 

SpiceJet is one of the biggest low cost carriers in India with a fleet of 31 aircrafts of B737-800/900 series and only received approval for international operation in 2011 for Kathmandu and Colombo.  It now waits for the approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India for the operation of more international destinations.
