To express support to the China Civil Aviation Museum and enhance exchanges on the aviation industry between China and Macao, the Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) delegation went to the Civil Aviation Museum in Chaoyang district, Beijing on April 14, 2011, as well as attended the donation ceremony of the Macau International Airport model.

Mr. Lu Changcheng, Deputy Director of the Museum and other staff, warmly received the delegation and accompanied to tour around the Museum. With the detailed introduction of Lu, the delegation members have deeper knowledge of the Civil Aviation Museum which is currently under preparation and the development history of the China civil aviation industry.

The delegation donated the MIA model to the Civil Aviation Museum. Representatives of both sides gave a brief speech respectively afterwards. CAM representatives briefed the MIA’s development and performance over the past 15 years since its commencement. Although the MIA is not big in scale, the cross-strait "indirect direct flight" airline from the beginning makes contribution to history in realization of the nowadays cross-strait flights. The MIA’s continuous development is undoubtedly resulted in the support of the Central government and the MSAR government, and closely related with the domestic economic and aviation developments. We are continuing to build the MIA into the model of a multi-functional small and medium-sized international airport. Lastly, MIA wished the China Civil Aviation Museum to have its grand open soon.
