Macau International Airport Representatives Participated in the 5th Annual World Aviation Online Conference01 Apr 2021

Macau International Airport as a member of East Asia Airports Alliance (EAAA), was invited to attend the 5th World Aviation Conference hosted online by Incheon International Airport on 29th March 2021. Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) Director of Planning and Commercial Development Department Ms. Winnie Hsu, General Manager of Airport Information Management Solutions (AIMS) Ms. Sharon Wang, CAM Director of Logistic and General Aviation Development Department Mr. Frank Wu, CAM Director of Airport Operation Department Mr. Gary Geng, representatives of Marketing Department, Infrastructure Development Department, and other departments attended the meeting. Speakers from International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and other entities shared on the key issues encountered in the current gradual flights resumption, travel bubble, "immunity passports", border control procedures, technology trends for new normal for safe, un-contact travel and other topics. Attendees learned more about the aviation industry's restructuring, ways to embrace times of dramatic change, and global agreements and technological innovations for safe air travel, also updated and enlightened the industry trend.

As one of the largest aviation conferences in Northeast Asia, the World Aviation Conference has attracted more than a thousand civil aviation experts and practitioners from all over the world last year. The theme of the conference this year, "Innovation Beyond Boundaries: A New Airport Example", was to explore how airports around the world can break through their traditional operating models and restore passenger confidence in air travel through various innovative and technological means in the face of the pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, the aviation industry is facing severe challenges, the aviation industry suffer from unprecedented threat, the 5th World Aviation Conference provided a professional and practical platform for the industry to exchange new knowledge and opinions from all over the world.
