CAM’s Executive Committee Members Had Meeting with CTM Discuss Co-development of Telecommunication Technology and Civil Aviation06 May 2020

Telecommunications technology is developing rapidly, and it is constantly integrated into all walks of life. In response to the needs of future planning, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) Dr. Deng Jun and Executive Committee members including: Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Mr. Lei Si Tai and Mr. Leung Henry Yee Hang, had a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of CTM Mr. Poon Fuk Hei and his delegates, to discuss the feasibility of using telecommunications technology to support the development of the civil aviation industry.

CTM has been providing professional telecommunications services at Macau International Airport (MIA), keeping pace with the times, and upgrading in time to ensure the level of passenger experience. MIA handled more than 9.6 million passengers last year and has actively engaging in expansion of terminal building in recent years. The SAR Government also has plans for the future development of the Airport. At the meeting, CAM Executive Committee members expressed the hope that CTM can continue to support development, ensure a high degree of network circulation, and at the same time proposed to assist the development of civil aviation in all aspects by means of telecommunications technology. Both sides have a consensus that new technologies can be researched and applied in more areas. In addition to optimizing passenger services in conjunction with big data, business management can be assisted and expanded. With new ideas developed, limitations will be broken.
