Sixth Meeting of the Air Traffic Management Sub-Group (ATM/SG/6) of APANPIRG of ICAO10 Aug 2018

The Sixth Meeting of Air Traffic Management Sub-Group for ICAO Asia Pacific Region was held at the Headquarter of Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong, China, from 30th July to 3rd August 2018, with a total of 107 representatives from 27 countries in the Asia Pacific Region, 2 special administrative regions and 6 international organizations. Mr. Hu Gaohong, Hoover, Senior Head of ATS Division of AOD of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) participated in the meeting as representative of the Macao SAR Air Traffic Service Provider together with the representative from AACM.

The air traffic management meeting is one of the most important meetings in the aviation industry. It plays a great guiding role on the efficiency of the airport operation as well as the management of aviation safety. The meeting focuses on the endorsement for the establishment of the airways, proposals for the improvement of air traffic management, flow management, flight separation, emergency search and rescue, equipment monitoring and surveillance, aviation weather and other related requirements and standards. The information obtained from the meeting has a positive impact on the development of the local aviation industry. Participation in such meetings is essential to ensure that Macao's air traffic control and aviation industry follow closely the development requirements and guidelines of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and actively expand Macao's aviation business.
